At GeoSpatios, we believe airspace operations shouldn't be held back by decades-old, fragmented softwares. We're rebuilding that foundation from the ground up.
Our AI-native operating system for aviation features an autonomous coordinator that transforms decision-making for airlines and flight operators. By leveraging Agentic AI, real-time data, and a data-first architecture, we compress processes that once took 45 minutes into decisions made in under 10 seconds.
We're a venture-backed startup based in Palo Alto with a small, ambitious team tackling one of aerospace's hardest and most impactful challenges.
If you're excited by the idea of shaping mission-critical infrastructure, this is your opportunity to join at the earliest stage and directly influence operations in the physical world.
About the Role
We're looking for Full-Stack Software Engineers to design and build the backbone of our platform. You'll own technical decisions across the stack, work directly with the founding team, and architect systems that power real-time, high-stakes aviation operations.
From front-end interfaces for aviation professionals to scalable back-end systems and agent-driven workflows, you'll take ideas from concept to production.
You'll also partner with industry stakeholders, integrate advanced AI orchestration, and ensure the platform remains reliable, fast, and extensible.
Responsibilities
- End-to-end product development: Design, build, test, and maintain features across the stack.
- Integrate agentic AI workflows to reason over real-time aviation data and automate complex operational tasks.
- Evolve the system architecture toward microservices and event-driven patterns for scalability and resilience.
- Build performant, interactive applications including real-time geospatial data visualization and rendering.
- Maintain system reliability and backward compatibility as the platform evolves.
- Optimize performance across data pipelines, rendering, and distributed systems.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to ensure seamless integration and usability.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience shipping full-stack software in production systems.
- Front-end: React, TypeScript (experience with Mapbox GL, Deck GL, or other geospatial UIs is a strong plus).
- Back-end: (TypeScript), Go, or Python - comfortable building services and APIs.
- Working knowledge of relational databases (Postgres; familiarity with PostGIS is advantageous).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or similar) and modern development workflows (CI/CD, containers, infrastructure as code).
- Familiarity with AI/agentic systems: orchestrating LLM-driven workflows or tool-calling agents.
- Strong problem-solving skills, ownership mindset, and comfort working in fast-paced zero-to-one environments
- Excellent communication skills and collaborative approach to teamwork
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Passion for aviation, autonomy, and building AI-native real-world systems
You might thrive in this role if you...
- Enjoy building mission-critical systems from the ground up.
- Are comfortable learning quickly and making solid technical decisions with incomplete data.
- Have experience creating real-time data visualizations and care deeply about performance and user experience.
Nice to have
- Background in aviation, autonomy, or logistics systems.
- Experience with real-time architectures (event-driven systems, WebSockets, MQTT).
- Open-source contributions, especially in AI/agent frameworks or geospatial tools.
- Pilot license (Part 61/91/135/141) or drone license.
