Full Stack Engineer (NYC, In-Person)
We’re working with a well-funded, early-stage team building a high-scale, real-time platform from the ground up. This is an opportunity to join a small, experienced group of engineers tackling complex problems around performance, scalability, and distributed systems from day one.
If you enjoy owning features end-to-end and working close to the infrastructure that powers them, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do
- Build and ship end-to-end features across the stack (frontend → backend → infrastructure)
- Design and maintain high-performance APIs and real-time systems
- Work with event-driven architectures and asynchronous data pipelines
- Model and optimize data across databases, caching layers, and analytics systems
- Deploy and manage your own services in a containerized environment
- Contribute to a culture of high engineering standards, performance, and reliability
Tech Stack
- Frontend: React, Next.js, TypeScript
- Backend: Node.js (NestJS)
- Data: PostgreSQL, Redis
- Infra: AWS, Docker, Kubernetes
- Messaging: Kafka or similar event-streaming systems
What We’re Looking For
- Experience building production-grade applications (ideally user-facing or high-scale systems)
- Strong skills in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern web frameworks
- Exposure to backend systems and API design
- Familiarity with asynchronous systems (queues, event-driven patterns, etc.)
- Some experience with cloud infrastructure or containerization
Nice to Have
- Experience with Kafka, ClickHouse, Snowflake, or Redshift
- Background in real-time systems or high-throughput environments
- Experience working in startup or fast-paced environments
