This role centers on developing and enhancing an integration service that connects Azure-based services with a third-party SaaS warehouse management solution.

The position is a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity, onsite, supporting a collaborative team environment with opportunities to work on integration services and warehouse claims processing applications.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring for the AMIS integration layer.

Ensure successful integration with Manhattan systems (TMS, WMS, LMS).

Support and enhance existing software, adapting and optimizing for warehouse domain needs.

Contribute to frontend development in Angular for internal tools as needed.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including supply chain developers, infrastructure engineers, and QA.

Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and agile ceremonies.

Ensure code quality, performance, and scalability across services.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications5+ years of experience in backend development with Java and Spring Framework (open to more junior candidates as long as they are competent and show an aptitude for learning).

Experience with cloud services (preferably Azure) and integration patterns.

Working knowledge of Angular (v10+ preferred).

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with supply chain or logistics systems, especially warehouse management systems.

Exposure to claims processing workflows in warehouse environments.

Familiarity with the client's internal systems.

About the Client The client operates within merchandising and supply chain, specifically warehousing engineering. The team includes approximately 5–6 members spanning development, DevOps, analysis, and technical leadership. The manager is open to developers with strong growth potential. While conversion to full-time employment is not guaranteed, it is the preferred long-term outcome when headcount becomes available. Candidates must be local to the Blue Ash/Cincinnati area (including Dayton and Northern Kentucky) and work onsite with the team.
