About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Java Developer to join our dynamic team focused on advancing geolocation product lines for defense applications. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and enhancing software components that address operational requirements from the warfighter.

You will work on a variety of disciplines including UI, front-end, back-end, and full stack development, collaborating across teams to integrate capabilities into various platforms, including containerized environments. Using agile scrum and DevOps methodologies, you will gain comprehensive experience throughout the entire product lifecycle, contributing to cutting-edge geolocation solutions that support national security initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 20 years of experience as a Software Engineer in programs of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited institution; alternatively, four additional years of relevant software engineering experience can substitute for a degree.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required.
• Extensive experience with Enterprise Java development and service-oriented architectures.
• Proficiency in developing microservice solutions and working with databases such as MongoDB or MySQL.
• Experience with Python development and scientific libraries (e.g., NumPy, pandas) is desirable.
• Strong understanding of container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within agile teams.
• Experience with development tools such as IntelliJ, Eclipse, VS Code, and version control systems like GitLab.
• Knowledge of geolocation applications, messaging infrastructure, and related systems such as ISLANDTRANSPORT and JICD is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement enhancements to existing geolocation capabilities primarily using Java, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code.
• Collaborate closely with software and systems engineers within an agile environment to analyze requirements, derive user stories, and plan development activities.
• Perform integration, testing, and debugging of software components to ensure seamless operation across platforms.
• Provide tier 2 and tier 3 support for deployed capabilities, addressing bugs and implementing fixes promptly.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and adherence to best practices for software development and security standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by adopting DevOps practices and leveraging containerization technologies.
• Support the full product lifecycle, from initial development through deployment and maintenance, ensuring operational readiness and performance.
• Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and industry trends related to geolocation, full stack development, and defense applications.
