Full Stack Java Developer

Overview

The position focuses on delivering performance-based IT services and repeatable solutions in a cloud-based, large-scale enterprise environment. The developer will support applications with the goal of learning new technologies to optimize efficiency and improve performance. The role requires strong task management, problem solving, and the ability to work well individually and in small to medium-sized teams within a larger delivery team of 10+ people. Close collaboration with agile delivery teams across PSPD, CBP, and external applications will be necessary for success.

Location and Work Arrangements

This position REQUIRES onsite support in Ashburn, VA, 2 times a week. Work Location: Ashburn, VA. Work schedule: Hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Learn and support the implementation of workflow and rules technology integration across multiple applications
• Provide assistance and support for less experienced team members
• Track assigned tasks to completion within a team of 10+ developers
• Identify and resolve technical issues
• Work independently
• Employ ingenuity and creativity to develop new technical solutions and systems to achieve functional objectives
• Communicate with internal team members across multiple areas and client teams
• Research, evaluate, and stay current on emerging tools, techniques, and technologies including cloud services

Basic Qualifications

• BA/BS with 8+ years of relevant experience or 6+ years with a Master’s Degree, or 9+ years of experience in lieu of a degree
• Must be able to obtain/maintain a CBP Background Investigation prior to start
• Experience evaluating business needs, refining requirements to identify appropriate solutions, and resolving difficult issues
