Whiskey Library is an e-commerce platform for premium spirits subscriptions and retail, based in Northport, NY (near Stony Brook). We're growing through custom Shopify development, backend optimizations, and marketing integrations to deliver curated bourbon experiences.

Role Description

Full-time on-site role in Northport, NY. Partner with our co-founder (full-stack developer) on Whiskey Library's Shopify projects: build/optimize storefronts (themes, apps, responsive features), develop backend (databases, authentication, APIs), troubleshoot issues, and ensure scalable, secure code.

Daily tasks include coding custom subscription flows, inventory management, and performance enhancements to support business growth.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• AI Proficiency (required first screen): Leverage AI tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude, GPT) daily for code generation, debugging, prototyping—share examples in application.

Shopify Mastery:

Liquid templating, apps, REST/GraphQL APIs, themes, integrations (Klaviyo, payments).

Frontend:

HTML/CSS/JS, responsive design (React/Vue preferred).

Backend:

, databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL), authentication (OAuth/JWT), serverless deployments.

• E-commerce Experience: Subscriptions, inventory, high-traffic optimization.

Other:

Git, problem-solving, clear communication for team collaboration.

Pluses:

CS degree, Shopify Partner certification, spirits/e-com portfolio.

What to Expect
