Full Stack Software Engineer (Application)

Requirements

Must have:

- Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related scientific field; OR 2+ years of professional experience in software development in place of a degree - Proficient in full stack development - Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, C#.NET, Go, Scala, Java, or other object-oriented languages - At least 1 year of experience in developing single-page web applications - Experience with version control systems, continuous integration, and delivery - Strong expertise in software system design - Comprehensive understanding of testing, integration, build processes, and monitoring - Skilled in profiling and enhancing application performance - Knowledge of build systems like Make, Bazel/Pants/Buck, Gradle, and package managers such as pip or npm - Proficient with UNIX-like operating systems and management tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet - Experience in handling in-stream data processing using technologies like Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ - Practical knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes in production - Front-end development experience with frameworks such as Angular, React, or similar - Database skills in PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar technologies - Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as necessary

Responsibilities:

- Design and implement dependable software solutions used across SpaceX - Develop new applications to enhance SpaceXs operations - Construct prototypes to validate design concepts and evaluate technical limitations - Oversee all facets of software engineering and product management - Thoroughly examine user issues to devise effective solutions - Contribute actively in team discussions regarding architecture, design, and code assessments
