Fullstack Java Engineer - Cloud Migration

Job Description

We are seeking a Full Stack Java Engineer to support a Lift & Shift (rehost) application migration to the cloud. This role focuses on migrating existing applications to Azure and GCP with minimal code changes, requiring strong experience in configuration, troubleshooting, and independent issue resolution. This role will focus on modernizing, re‑architecting, and optimizing distributed systems while ensuring high availability, scalability, performance, and security.

The ideal candidate has strong experience building Java‑based, cloud‑native microservices, working with containerized platforms such as Kubernetes, and implementing CI/CD, automation, and observability best practices in complex enterprise environments.

Skills and Requirements

Full Stack Java or J2EE experience supporting enterprise applications

Hands‑on experience migrating applications using a Lift & Shift (rehost) approach with little code changes

Strong experience with application configuration and environment setup in cloud platforms

Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently during cloud migrations

Experience with Spring Boot and microservices

Hands‑on experience with RESTful APIs

Strong experience deploying and supporting applications on Kubernetes

Experience working with SQL databases (JDBC) and NoSQL data stores

Experience with message and event brokers

Cloud experience in Azure, GCP, Service Bus, & Kafka

Experience using CI/CD pipelines for application deployment

Hands‑on experience with smoke testing and post‑migration validation

Experience using observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Application Insights, Dynatrace)
