Implementations Senior Software Engineer The TeamThe Fidelity Health Benefits (FHB) Platform team within the Health Care Technology Group (HCG) organization supports the recordkeeping and administration of health benefits (medical, dental and vision plans) and life insurance plans on behalf of Fidelitys corporate clients, their employees and retirees.
The technology associates on the FHB Platform team interact with business partners as well as systems partners who have responsibility for client-facing channels such as NetBenefits and Plan Sponsor WebStation.
The development teams are located across USA and India. This role is based of North Carolina, USA. Team size is 150+ resources across IT and Product. Highly motivated team works completely on Agile Methodology.The FHB Platform team is looking to fill an interesting and challenging position on an Agile team that supports the implementation of new Clients on the Fidelity Health Benefits Platform.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be expected to partner with Client Services and Operations teams to implement new Clients on the FHB Platform.
Working closely with Product Owner, Technical Program Manager, Technical Lead, Architects, System Analysts, and Scrum-Master to design, build, test, and deliver capabilities, features, and enhancements
Providing mentoring to the FHB team of developers with specific emphasis on sound fundamental development methodology.
Providing leadership on project development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies.
Participating in the FHB Platform teams effort to improve the efficiency and quality of the entire development process.
Solid understanding of REST concepts and developing REST APIs using Spring boot with Tomcat
Solid understanding of Java 8 capabilities, lambda, streams and functional interfaces, Spring modules, including IOC, MVC(Rest), BATCH, Spring boot along with other core components like OAuth2 and security
Experience with Jenkins build & code-deployment procedures
Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with creating and executing SQL, UNIX scripts
Experience with SPLUNK and DataDog
Exposure to maintaining and creating Ctrl-M jobs

Assisting Technical Lead with technical guidance and mentoring junior team members.Coordinating and leading research into new technologies independently, as part of a team and with the Architecture team to make judgement and recommendations for future releases.

Work collaboratively to continually improve processes to help us deliver high quality solutions at lower cost
