Informatica Developer (Mainframe)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Informatica Developer with strong Mainframe experience to design, develop, and support ETL processes and data integration solutions. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in Informatica PowerCenter, along with working knowledge of mainframe technologies such as COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and DB2.Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter
• Extract, transform, and load data from mainframe systems to data warehouses or downstream systems
• Work with COBOL copybooks to process mainframe data files
• Develop and optimize complex mappings, transformations, and workflows
• Analyze and convert legacy mainframe data into modern formats
• Write and optimize SQL queries for performance tuning
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders for requirements gathering
• Perform data validation, testing, and debugging of ETL processes
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across systems
• Support production jobs and handle incident management

Required Skills:

• Strong experience in Informatica PowerCenter (ETL development)
• Hands-on experience with Mainframe technologies:

COBOL

JCL (Job Control Language)

VSAM files

DB2

• Experience working with flat files, sequential files, and copybooks
• Strong SQL skills (Oracle, SQL Server, or DB2)
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts

Experience in Unix/Linux scripting

• Understanding of batch processing and scheduling tools (like Autosys/Control-M)

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Informatica IICS / IDMC
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
• Familiarity with data migration projects
• Experience in banking, finance, or insurance domains

Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies
