ClearBridge Technology GroupOur client, a leading Government Systems Integrator, is in need of 5 Java Developers for a 3 year contract onsite in Gaithersburg, MD.
The Java Developers will be supporting an enterprise government project, re-writing almost 3 million lines of code for an AI modernization effort.
The Java Developers will be re-writing Java and C++ code using Claude Code to automate tasks directly from the terminal.
At least 5 years of Java Development experience, preferably supporting large government contracts / programs.
Experience writing Java and C++ code using Claude Code, or similar AI tools.
Java and C++ developing experience using modern vibe coding methodology.
Java Development experience in a cloud environment, preferably within AWS.

The expected hourly rate range for this role is $40 – $78 / hr The posted range is an estimate, the actual compensation offer will be based on the candidate's experience, skills, qualifications and will be in line with internal equity.
