Job Description Summary

Seeking a skilled and motivated Cloud & Backend Engineer with a strong background in cloud-native development, medical imaging standards (DICOM/DICOMWeb), and device-to-cloud integration.

Candidate will play a key role in building secure, scalable, and compliant systems that connect medical devices to the cloud, enabling real-time imaging workflows and data analytics.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement cloud-based pipelines for ingesting, storing, and processing DICOM imaging data from edge devices.

Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using modern frameworks (e.g., Java).

Integrate with DICOMWeb services, including STOW-RS, WADO-RS, and QIDO-RS, for image upload, retrieval, and query.

Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., AWS CDK, Terraform).Ensure secure data transmission using TLS, IAM, and OAuth2, with full audit logging and compliance with HIPAA and FDA 21 CFR.

Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and product teams to deliver high-quality, production-ready solutions.

Required Qualifications

5 6 years of experience in cloud computing (preferably AWS).

Strong backend development skills in Java.

Hands-on experience with DICOM and DICOMweb, especially STOW-RS for image ingestion.

Experience integrating medical devices or edge systems with cloud platforms.

Familiarity with PACS, or similar imaging systems.

Solid understanding of HIPAA, data privacy, and security best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.

Background in medical device software and clinical workflows.
