About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer with 5+ years of hands-on development experience to join our team in Bothell. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable enterprise applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality Java-based applications
Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices
Work with Spring Boot and related frameworks to develop backend services
Participate in system architecture and technical design discussions
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices
Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance
Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps, QA, and business stakeholders
Participate in Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Stand-ups, Retrospectives)

Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience in Java development
Strong proficiency in Java 8+
Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Security
Experience building RESTful web services
Strong understanding of microservices architecture
Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle)
Familiarity with JPA/Hibernate
Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines
Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with messaging systems (Kafka/RabbitMQ)
Knowledge of frontend technologies (React/Angular) is a plus
Experience with performance tuning and optimization

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
