Requested Qualifications The following qualifications are explicitly required for this position:
-
60 months of experience with J2EE technologies including JDBC, JSP and XML.

60 months of experience developing, building, and testing Java EE applications using modern IDE''s, such as Eclipse, NetBeans, or IntelliJ.
-
60 months of experience using J2EE frameworks such as Spring or Struts and Application Servers such as Tomcat, JBoss, WebSphere or WebLogic.

60 months of experience writing SQL statements for relational databases.
-
36 months of experience in messaging technologies, such as MQ, JMS, Kafka.
-
60 months of experience in system analysis and design of multi-tiered transactional systems.

18 months of experience with a government organization, which includes business knowledge, technical design, development, maintenance and end user support of complex systems.
Day-to-Day Tasks The selected candidate will act as a developer for the Tax Modernization effort and provide maintenance support. Specific duties include:

Obtaining business requirements to develop automated applications which meet business priorities.

Providing programming duties for tax-related applications.
-
Developing and mentoring staff using various technologies including J2EE, Spring, JSON, JavaScript, and JDBC.

Developing and reviewing detailed documentation for system and program change requirements, including detail specifications documents.

Assisting and providing guidance through all phases of the project management life cycle.

Developing unit test plans based on coding changes and user specifications; conducting unit testing and debugging in the development environment.

Coordinating the migration of all code changes (programs, procedures, etc.) from the development environment into the user test environment.

Assisting and training team members using distributed technologies including Java, DB2, XML, and XQuery.

Providing support for defects and issue resolution, ensuring they are addressed promptly based on priority.

Facilitating and participating in meetings with ITS and DTF customers.
-
Communicating verbally and in writing with DTF/ITS management and team members.
