Our client, a well-established enterprise organization, is seeking an experienced Java Developer to join their technology team. This role will focus on building and maintaining mid-tier services, modernizing legacy integrations, and supporting cloud-native application delivery in a collaborative, Agile environment.

What You'll Do

  • Apply advanced Java techniques including annotation processing, code generation, and integration with legacy codebases
  • Build and consume RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs
  • Contribute to microservices architecture, including service decomposition and inter-service communication patterns
  • Implement event-driven solutions using message queues such as Kafka, SQS, or similar
  • Design and optimize SQL/relational database solutions (Oracle, PostgreSQL, or similar)
  • Work with ORM frameworks (Hibernate, JPA) for data persistence
  • Develop and deploy applications leveraging AWS services (EC2, EKS, ECS, S3, Secrets Manager, IAM, CloudWatch)
  • Manage containerized workloads with Docker and orchestrate deployments via Kubernetes (pods, deployments, services, config maps, troubleshooting)
  • Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or similar)
  • Apply Infrastructure as Code principles using Terraform and/or CloudFormation
  • Partner with business, technology, and delivery teams, translating technical concepts for mixed stakeholder audiences
  • Participate in Agile delivery, iterative testing, and disciplined documentation practices
What You Bring
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java / J2EE, EJB, and enterprise mid-tier development
  • Proven experience with microservices, REST/GraphQL APIs, and event-driven architecture
  • Solid SQL and relational database experience
  • Practical experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker in production environments
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision while collaborating cross-functionally
  • Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience with enterprise application design, cloud integrations, data solutions, or platform automation
Nice to Have
  • Experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, Kiro, or similar)
  • Experience with identity lifecycle processes, access/privilege structures, SoD remediation, or cloud security auditing
