Ideal Candidate

Very solid internet-focused Java JEE, particularly Java 8, development
Understand SOA and OOP concepts
Understand abstract problems and provide innovative solutions
Work within a Servlet Container
Work with Oracle RDBMS
Ping pong, pool, foosball, or pinball
Bonus points for Spring MVC, Spring Boot microservices, distributed messaging/JMS, MBeans, REST architecture, distributed caching, Git, CSS, AJAX, JavaScript, fluency in at least one Linux-based scripting language.

Education Preferred

Bachelors or better in Computer Science or related field.

3 years: Java

As a Full-stack Developer, you will be responsible for:

Contributing as part of an agile team dedicated to building a quality product
Implementing and maintaining Vue.JS and Java applications in a Microservice architecture
Analyzing product requirements and translating into code
Debugging and resolving technical issues
Maintaining a TDD driven approach
Working cross functionally to build applications
Building relationships across teams and encouraging a passion for problem solving and coding
Understanding scope versus value and placing emphasis on the 80/20 rule

The folks in this role are usually successful when they have 3+ years of experience in:

Deep experience with a modern JavaScript framework – Vue.JS (preferred), React, Angular
Strong Java language fundamentals particularly Java 8 and newer
Enterprise application experience using Spring, Spring Boot, XML, JSON
Relational Database experience such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL
RESTful web services and microservice architecture
Strong belief in using unit testing and using framework
Version control system tools (GIT) and build management (Jenkins)
Agile methodologies, SOA and OOP concepts, CI/CD processes
Bonus points if you've worked with Docker, AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka
