Java Developer

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer to join our team onsite in San Leandro, CA. You will play a key role in enhancing and maintaining backend systems that integrate with AI-powered agent platforms, including leveraging Google Cloud SDK and MCP (Model Context Protocol). While you won’t be building AI agents from scratch, your work will directly enable their functionality through robust, scalable backend services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services in Java that support AI agent workflows.
• Integrate AI agent platforms with existing enterprise backend systems (databases, APIs, microservices).
• Utilize Google Cloud SDK for cloud-native development, deployment, and integration.
• Work with MCP (Model Context Protocol) to ensure cross-platform compatibility and performance.
• Collaborate with data scientists, AI engineers, and product teams to understand integration requirements.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize system performance for reliability and low-latency responses.
• Write clean, testable, and well-documented code following best practices.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and architectural discussions.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Exposure to AI agent frameworks or LLM (Large Language Model) orchestration tools.
• Knowledge of MCP (Model Context Protocol) if this refers to a specific internal or vendor platform, please specify.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Understanding of event streaming (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
