About The Role We are seeking an experienced Java Developer to join our dynamic team. This role involves working on backend and server-side Java development within a collaborative environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining MES (Manufacturing Execution System) applications, focusing on ongoing upgrades, new releases, and adding functionalities. The position offers flexibility in work location, with options to work from Tempe, AZ, or Mounds View, MN. There is potential for extension and conversion to a full-time role based on performance and project needs.

The candidate will lead a team of four developers, focusing on backend development, and will be instrumental in implementing innovative solutions to streamline manufacturing processes.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Information Technology. A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in IT development is required, with a proven track record in enterprise-level software solutions.

Experience working in manufacturing environments, especially in medical device manufacturing, is highly desirable. Strong expertise in Java development, web services (preferably Webfil), and Oracle databases (version above 10) is essential. Familiarity with server environments such as JBoss and Tomcat is strongly preferred.

Additional skills in VB6 and experience in writing Java test scripts will be considered advantageous. The candidate should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently and within a team, and a proactive approach to technology integration and innovation.

Responsibilities As a Java Developer, your primary responsibilities will include developing, maintaining, and enhancing web services built in Java for manufacturing applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and translate them into scalable, efficient solutions.

Your role will involve designing and implementing backend logic, ensuring robust integration with client systems on the manufacturing floor. You will be responsible for supporting ongoing system upgrades, releases, and the addition of new functionalities to MES applications. Collaborating with team members, you will participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Additionally, you will provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, foster innovative approaches to system architecture, and ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices. Your expertise will help optimize manufacturing workflows, improve system reliability, and support the deployment of mobile applications and other emerging technologies.
