Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in Core Java development. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Java fundamentals, object-oriented programming, collections, multithreading, exception handling, and Java-based application development.

The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, debugging, and maintaining high-quality Java applications while collaborating with other technical teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using Core/Plain Java.
• Develop clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable Java code.
• Apply strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.
• Work extensively with Java Collections, Multithreading, Concurrency, Exception Handling, and Java I/O.
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs and web services where required.
• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective Java solutions.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues and performance problems.
• Optimize existing Java applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure application quality.
• Participate in code reviews and follow established coding standards and best practices.
• Work with relational databases and write efficient SQL queries.
• Collaborate with QA, DevOps, architects, business analysts, and other development teams.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to technical discussions.
• Maintain technical documentation related to application design and implementation.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Core Java / Plain Java.
• Excellent understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
• Strong knowledge of Java Collections Framework.
• Strong experience with Multithreading and Concurrency.
• Good understanding of Exception Handling, Java I/O, Generics, and Java 8+ features.
• Experience with Java Streams, Lambda Expressions, and Functional Interfaces.
• Strong understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms.
• Experience with REST APIs and JSON/XML.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with JUnit or similar unit-testing frameworks.
• Experience with Git or other version-control systems.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Java 11/17/21 or newer versions.
• Experience with Spring/Spring Boot is a plus but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of JDBC, Maven, or Gradle.
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Exposure to Kafka or other messaging platforms.
• Experience working with Docker and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Knowledge of performance profiling and Java application optimization.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and DevOps environments.

Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
