About The Role We are seeking an experienced Java Full Stack Developer to join our team on a full-time, onsite basis in McLean, VA. This role is pivotal in designing, developing, and deploying cloud-native applications using AWS services.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of AWS cloud infrastructure, microservices architecture, and advanced Java development. The primary focus will be on building scalable, secure, and efficient backend systems without UI components, utilizing technologies such as Java, Microservices, Angular, and MongoDB. The role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud solutions, automate deployment pipelines, and implement best practices for security and performance monitoring.

Qualifications The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in Java development and cloud architecture. Strong expertise in core Java and advanced Java concepts is essential.

Candidates should have extensive hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, EMR, Lambda, CloudWatch, API Gateway, DynamoDB, ECS, EKS, Fargate, CloudFormation, CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy. Proven experience in designing RESTful APIs, serverless architectures, and automated CI/CD pipelines is required. Familiarity with MongoDB and Angular for microservices development is also necessary.

Candidates must demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently, and a thorough understanding of security best practices involving IAM, KMS, and CloudTrail.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable web applications and microservices using Java and AWS cloud services.
• Create and maintain RESTful APIs utilizing AWS API Gateway and Lambda functions.
• Develop and optimize serverless architectures with AWS services such as Lambda, Step Functions, ECS, EKS, and Fargate.
• Build and maintain automated deployment pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy.
• Implement infrastructure as code using AWS CloudFormation for consistent environment provisioning.
• Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues using AWS CloudWatch, X-Ray, and other monitoring tools.
• Ensure security best practices are followed by managing IAM roles, KMS encryption, and CloudTrail logging.
• Develop automated backup and disaster recovery solutions with AWS EBS and S3.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions and participate in code reviews and testing frameworks.
