Java programmer (remote)

Requirements

Must have:

- Bachelors degree in Software Development or related field - 4+ years of experience in Java Software Development or equivalent - Proficient in Java/J2EE - Knowledge of SQL and relational databases (such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL) - Familiarity with JavaScript and associated technologies (HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, Ajax) - Understanding of XML - Working knowledge of application servers (e.g., Tomcat, WebSphere, AWS, Azure) - Experience with development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) - Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills - Ability to deliver exceptional customer service with strong listening and empathy skills - Multi-tasking ability while keeping details in check and managing competing priorities - Composure in challenging situations - Capable of working independently while also collaborating with cross-functional teams - Self-driven and able to thrive in a fast-paced, occasionally high-pressure environment with limited supervision

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate closely with other Support Developers and Quality Assurance Engineers - Utilize Jira for tracking all support issues within the defined client-specific Service Level Agreement (SLA) - Provide after-hours phone support as needed based on business requirements - Resolve issue tickets and implement fixes - Manage builds for change requests - Oversee minor software release migrations and builds - Handle escrow packaging and delivery tasks - Conduct software security scans
