Java Software Engineer

Coltech is looking for an experienced Java / Full-Stack Engineer to join a major automotive client on an exciting new project.

This is an opportunity to work within a large-scale enterprise engineering environment, developing and integrating APIs, supporting modern Java applications and contributing to cloud-based technology initiatives.

What we're looking for

• Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with APIGEE 2.0 API Gateway, including API development and integration.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices and enterprise application development.
• Experience working in Agile engineering teams.
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience is highly desirable.

Contract details

Location: Detroit Metro (Dearborn / Livonia)

Hybrid: 4 days on-site, typically remote Fridays

Duration: Initial 3-month contract, with strong potential for extension

Start date: ASAP

Rate: $60–$65 per hour

Candidates must be local to the Detroit Metro area and available to work on-site four days per week.
