is hiring a Java Software Engineer at Fidelity Investments in Merrimack, NH.The Quality Tools & Practices team within Asset Management Technology provides support, standard methodologies, and custom developed services for various SDLC and Quality tools used by the AMT Delivery Teams.
The team also enables cloud migration through automation and metrics.We are looking for an ambitious, innovative, experienced Developer with strong problem solving skills, who ideally has exposure to Full Stack engineering.
The candidate will play a meaningful role in developing integrated cloud-hosted solutions, working on our proprietary Test Automation Results Publisher (TARP) and Metrics Dashboards.
In this role you will work in a fast paced agile environment building software solutions to support AMTs migration to the AWS Cloud.
The team enables cloud migration by automating manual processes and by building out a cloud/devops metrics platform. As a member of an agile team, you will use JIRA to own your day to day tasks and strive to deliver well engineered, well tested, solutions into production on a regular cadence.
Mid-Tier Software Development using Java technologies.Participate in the definition of both functional and non-functional requirements of a system and define the development strategy, standards and support tools.
Write source code, adapt existing components, and test the developed components as units
Building test stubs and test data as necessaryDefine and ensure compliance to standards and standard methodologies for development including change management, release management, & source code control.
Able to work under technical leadership/mentorship and leverages standard methodologies in design and development from tech leads
Design, develop, and test software applications and systems changes that address business needs supporting technical solutions through the life of the project
Responsible for migrating code deliverables and technical solutions through the development, test and production environments.
Adopt and promote principles of Agile development, Continuous Integration/Delivery, and DevOps
Identify, elevate, monitor and mitigate project risks.
Participant optimally in daily Scrums, team and project meetings, calls, etc. in a wide variety of roles ranging from facilitator, to requestor, to solutions coordinator, to consultant.
Develops partnership and spirit of teamwork and commitment within the project team.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
7+ years of software development experience, involving Java and Spring technologies
Expertise with Spring Frameworks, preferably Spring 4 and Spring Boot
Expertise with RESTful API design and development
Able to setup and work with a Tomcat application server in a Linux environmentDemonstrated experience with the following technologies/tools: Eclipse, JAVA, J2EE, JDK1.8, , Python, UNIX, Linux, Spring (MVC, Boot), Jenkins, Git/Stash, JIRA, JSON, XML, Nexus, Artifactory, Maven, Veracode, JUnit, Mockito, FitNesse, and Confluence Wiki.
DevOps and Cloud Computing (AWS) experience (CloudFormation, EC2, S3, SNS, Lambda, IAM Roles, KMS, CloudWatch) is a plus
Familiarity with mainstream testing tools (e.g. Selenium, Cucumber, FitNesse)
Basic knowledge of security practices cryptography, key management, and application security.
Experience with Container Platforms (Docker), Gson/Jackson Parsers, Database/RDBMS, Data Warehouse (Snowflake), Concourse CI Pipelines a plus
