JavaScript Developer (CMS & Integrations)

• *Description**

We are seeking a motivated

• *JavaScript Developer**

with hands-on experience in

• *CMS platforms, SQL databases, workflow automation, and jQuery**

. This role is a hybrid between development and administration: you will build and customize CMS features, manage and migrate data, and provide tier 2/3 technical support.

The ideal candidate enjoys problem-solving, is detail-oriented with data, and can collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integrations and efficient workflows. You will be directly involved in

• *customizing modules, supporting end-users, optimizing database queries, and extending CMS systems**

to deliver scalable solutions.

• *Responsibilities
• Build and customize CMS modules, features, and workflows.
• Support and maintain data migrations (including church data in Rock RMS).
• Provide tier 2/3 technical support, troubleshooting issues on the technical side.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into solutions.
• Design and implement integrations with external systems via REST APIs.
• Write clean and maintainable
• *JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and SQL

code.

• Manage and optimize SQL queries, database schema, and backup/restore procedures.
• Document technical processes and share knowledge with the team.
• Stay updated on CMS, SQL, and automation workflow trends.
• *Technology Requirements
• 2 years of professional experience**

with JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS.

• Strong SQL skills: writing queries, performance tuning, schema design, data manipulation.
• Experience with Rock RMS, WordPress, Drupal, Sitecore, or similar CMS.
• Familiarity with
• *REST APIs**

and system integrations.

• Knowledge of workflow automation and templating engines (
• *Lava, Liquid**

) is a strong plus.

• Git or other version control systems.
• Exposure to Rock RMS’s Block development framework is advantageous.
