As a JavaScript Developer at Emetlab, you will build the dynamic, interactive systems that power how clients, contributors, and internal teams interact with elite AI training data infrastructure. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain JavaScript-based applications and services across our frontend and backend systems. You will work closely with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver seamless, performant experiences that make complex data operations feel effortless and intuitive, from contributor task workflows to client-facing dataset delivery portals.

What You'll Do

Design, build, and maintain responsive, high-quality web applications using modern JavaScript and TypeScript. Develop interactive features including contributor task interfaces, dataset configuration tools, quality review dashboards, and real-time progress tracking. Collaborate with Design and Product teams to translate wireframes and specifications into polished, accessible user experiences.

Build and maintain backend services using Node.js, ensuring reliability, scalability, and clean API design for data pipeline integrations. Write clean, well-documented, and thoroughly tested code with a focus on performance, accessibility, and long-term maintainability. Participate in architectural decisions, code reviews, and technical discussions that shape the direction of the platform.

Contribute to DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment workflows.

What You'll Need to Succeed

2+ years of professional experience with JavaScript and TypeScript, demonstrating strong command of the language, modern ES6+ patterns, and best practices.

Experience with frontend frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular for building production-grade web applications. Familiarity with Node.js and server-side JavaScript for building APIs and backend services.

Experience working with data-rich interfaces, dashboards, or enterprise platforms where performance and clarity are critical. Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and a commitment to building inclusive interfaces. A collaborative disposition, comfortable working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Data Operations teams in a fast-paced environment. Genuine interest in AI, data systems, or machine learning infrastructure is highly valued.
