About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer (SWE) with expertise in Python, JavaScript, Typescript, and C++ to join our dynamic team on a remote, hourly contract basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with top AI researchers from leading AI laboratories on cutting-edge projects.

As a key contributor, you will be responsible for developing, debugging, and optimizing complex software systems that support our AI initiatives. The position is designed for professionals who are passionate about software engineering, eager to work on innovative solutions, and capable of managing multiple tasks within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in one or more of the relevant programming languages, including Python, JavaScript, Typescript, and C++. A high level of attention to detail, combined with exceptional written and verbal communication skills, is essential for success in this role.

Candidates should demonstrate a solid understanding of software development best practices, including writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code, as well as experience with testing and debugging. Prior experience working in AI or machine learning projects is a plus, along with the ability to collaborate effectively in an asynchronous team environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with top AI researchers from leading AI labs to work on advanced software engineering tasks, contributing to the development of innovative AI solutions.
• Debug and refactor existing codebases to enhance performance, security, and maintainability, ensuring robust and scalable software systems.
• Write comprehensive test cases to validate code functionality, identify potential issues early, and improve overall code quality.
• Work asynchronously with the project manager and development team to meet project deadlines, coordinate efforts, and ensure seamless integration of new features.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing to foster continuous improvement within the team.

Benefits This contract role provides flexible remote working arrangements, allowing you to work from anywhere. Compensation is competitive, ranging from $50 to $60 per hour, based on experience and expertise. The project duration is approximately 2 to 4 weeks, with a commitment of 10 to 40 hours per week, offering you the flexibility to balance other commitments.
