About The Role

We are seeking a customer-focused Smart Home Solutions Specialist to help customers identify, plan, and implement connected-home solutions. In this role, you will learn about each customer’s priorities, explain relevant technologies, and coordinate the details needed to deliver a smooth experience. You will work across areas such as lighting, climate control, security, sensors, networking, and home automation, helping customers understand how individual products can work together.

This position is suited to someone who enjoys combining practical problem-solving with customer service. You do not need to know every product on day one; however, you should be motivated to learn, comfortable discussing technology, and committed to following through on customer requests. You will collaborate with colleagues and external partners to ensure recommendations are practical, clearly communicated, and aligned with project requirements.

Qualifications

We welcome applicants with experience in customer service, retail, sales, technical support, installation, or another relevant field. Familiarity with smart home devices, home networking, consumer electronics, or building technology is an advantage. A background in a related technical discipline is helpful, but equivalent practical experience and a strong willingness to learn are also valued.

Successful candidates communicate clearly in writing and in conversation, listen carefully, and can explain technical concepts in straightforward language. You should be organized, dependable, and comfortable managing several customer inquiries or project details at once. Good judgment, attention to detail, and a service-oriented approach are essential.

You must be able to work collaboratively, adapt to changing priorities, and use digital tools to document information and track tasks. Additional language skills and experience coordinating installations or working with trade professionals are beneficial.

Responsibilities

You will assess customer needs and recommend appropriate smart home products and system configurations. You will explain product features, compatibility, setup requirements, and practical limitations so customers can make informed decisions. You will prepare or support estimates, proposals, product selections, and project documentation, ensuring that details are accurate and easy to understand.

You will coordinate with customers, colleagues, suppliers, and installation partners to support timely project delivery. This includes tracking orders and milestones, communicating updates, recording customer preferences, and helping resolve questions or issues. You will provide basic guidance on device setup and system use, identify when a matter requires specialist support, and follow it through to resolution.

You will also keep informed about product developments, share customer feedback with the team, and contribute ideas that improve our service and customer experience.
