Junior
- Forward-Deployed track Junior Full Stack Engineer
Solid
Python + JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals and genuine AI-native fluency. You'll build across a Django backend, a TypeScript web client, and a React Native app with Claude as your pair - shipping your first flag-gated feature in your first weeks - then grow into the Engineer DRI seat and, later, into a forward-deployed engineer executing external projects.
Slope matters more than pedigree.

How we build
No sprints. No staging. No hand-offs.
Every feature runs a 10-stage pipeline where Claude does the heavy lifting and a human DRI - one directly responsible engineer - drives every step.
01
Contract-first A frozen backend↔frontend contract + simulator before any code - so both sides build in parallel against the same reality.
02
AI-native execution
Claude Code writes most of the code. You direct it, review it, and verify it by running the app - not by trusting the diff.
03
One Design System
Every screen is composed from a living component library; anything new is contributed back. Build it in the system, not the feature.
04
Flags, not staging
Verify locally, merge dark behind a feature flag in production, dogfood there, flip it on. Rollback is one click.
05
Artifacts, not meetings
Each step outputs a structured doc the next step's Claude reads directly. Three synchronous touchpoints per feature - that's it.
06
Done = demonstrated
Screenshots, green gates, a flag, and a one-click rollback - never just "code written."
What you'll do
Ship from week one. Grow into the DRI seat.
The pipeline is the mentor: every step has a playbook, a template, and a definition of done - and a senior engineer holds your review gates while you ramp.
1
First 90 days
Learn by shipping
- Ship your first flag-gated feature in your first weeks - small and well-scoped, senior-reviewed at the gates
- Build across all three surfaces: Python/Django backend, TypeScript web, React Native app (iOS + Android)
- Run the verification loop yourself: drive the flow, screenshot it, read the logs, gates green
- Contribute components and gotchas back to the Design System and conventions doc
2
Then
Take the DRI seat
- Own features end-to-end: design the frozen contract + simulator from the founder's PRD
- Build backend ∥ frontend in parallel with Claude Code, integrate, drive review
- Launch behind a flag with the success metric wired to a live dashboard before the flip
- Take on bigger features as you prove out
3
Later
Deploy forward
- Shadow, then co-run, then own external engagements on our portable pipeline
- Scope with the client, design the contract, build with Claude, demo, iterate live
- Launch on their stack, behind their flag
What we look for
Fundamentals, fluency, and proof you ship.
Must-haves
- Python fundamentals you've shipped with - an API in Django/DRF/FastAPI, a real data model, tests; SQL basics
- JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals - React on web; React Native is a plus you'll deepen here
- Evidence you ship - internships, side projects, hackathons, open source; working links beat résumé lines
- AI-native working style - an AI coding tool is already your daily driver, and you verify its output by running the app
- Written clarity - our pipeline runs on structured docs; if yours needs a follow-up conversation, it isn't done
- Ownership temperament - you batch questions with a recommended default attached, and proceed on the default when the answer is slow
- 0–2 years of experience - new grads welcome; show us shipped, working things
Nice-to-haves
- Mobile exposure - React Native or Expo
- Postgres beyond the basics
- Feature flags, product analytics (Mixpanel) or error tracking (Sentry)
- LLM apps you've built, or prompt/eval tinkering
- Basics of GCP, Docker, or CI
What you get A seat most engineers wait years for.
01
The operating model An AI-native pipeline most companies are still theorizing about - you run it daily from week one.
02
Mentorship where it counts A senior engineer at your review gates, founders as your product pair.
03
An explicit growth path
Builder → Engineer DRI → forward-deployed engineer, with real ownership at every stage.
04
Claude, on us
Claude as your pair on everything, on the company's dime.
05
Full-stack range
Backend, web, and app in the same week - no lane assignments, no waiting on "the backend person."
06
Your name on it
From contract to metric dashboard, the feature is yours - demonstrated working, live behind a flag.
Hiring process
Built like the job.
The centrepiece is a paid, timeboxed build exercise where using AI isn't just allowed - it's required. We give you a small PRD + a frozen contract; you ship it and return a working demo, screenshots per flow, and green gates.
