Junior Java Developer

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Java Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining Java-based applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain Java applications based on business requirements.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Assist in debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving application issues.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to software quality improvements.
• Collaborate with senior developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders.
• Work with databases to design, query, and optimize data storage solutions.
• Support application deployment and maintenance activities.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in Java development.
• Strong understanding of Core Java concepts, OOP principles, and data structures.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
• Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and REST APIs.
• Understanding of frameworks like Spring Boot or Hibernate is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Maven or Gradle build tools.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
• Relevant certifications in Java development are an advantage.
