Requirements
Must have:
- Bachelors degree in an engineering, scientific, or technical field from an accredited institution - At least two years of professional experience in technical software support, including requirement analysis, design, development, testing, and maintenance - Proficiency in high-level programming languages such as C/C++, Java, or Ada - Experience with the RedHat operating system and standard UNIX/Linux tools and utilities - Knowledge of track modeling and time algorithms - Familiarity with inter-process communications utilizing publish/subscribe and client-server models with TCP/IP sockets - Active SECRET US Government Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required for clearance)
Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with a small software development team focused on Undersea Warfare (USW) - Creating software code for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Fire Control Systems - Engaging in weekly meetings with leadership to update on project progress - Identifying development challenges and communicating them effectively to leadership - Working onsite at NSWC Dahlgren
