Requirements
Must have:
- We require a bachelors degree, preferably in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- We are looking for 0–3 years of experience with Adobe ColdFusion, Python, and Django; recent graduates with relevant coursework are welcome.
- We need a strong grasp of algorithms, data structures, and software design fundamentals, with the ability to translate ideas into working code.
- We expect hands-on Adobe ColdFusion development experience and an understanding of layered application design with clear separation across controller, service, and DAO/repository components.
- We are seeking experience with Python web frameworks, especially Django, along with Vue.js, JavaScript ES6, HTML5, CSS, and Bootstrap.
- We require familiarity with Git workflows and CI/CD tooling, with GitLab preferred.
- We need experience writing automated tests for both Vue.js and ColdFusion codebases.
- We expect working knowledge of common architecture patterns such as MVC and MVVM.
- We value knowledge of Oracle and SQL, including schema design, query writing, and performance tuning.
- We prefer candidates with exposure to reusable, component-based development and API-first design.
- We value understanding of RESTful API design, versioning, and API documentation using OpenAPI/Swagger.
- We prefer candidates with awareness of performance optimization techniques and sound engineering practices.
- We welcome familiarity with chemical safety or environmental/workplace health and safety domains.
- We need strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
- We are seeking a proactive, service-minded team player who can work effectively in a global, distributed environment.
Responsibilities:
- We will have you maintain and support our existing Adobe ColdFusion Environmental Health and Safety applications.
- We will expect you to troubleshoot issues, document defects, and deliver fixes and functional enhancements.
- We will have you design and develop new services and user interfaces using Python, including Django, and Vue.js.
- We will rely on you to write clean, maintainable, and testable code across frontend, backend, and database layers.
- We will have you partner with product, UX, and engineering colleagues to convert requirements into reliable solutions.
- We will expect you to participate in Agile ceremonies and provide regular progress updates while meeting sprint commitments.
- We will ask you to implement automated testing for Vue.js and ColdFusion components.
- We will have you use Git for source control and GitLab-based CI/CD pipelines.
- We will expect you to apply architectural patterns such as MVC and MVVM and follow reusable, API-centric design practices.
- We will ask you to contribute to application performance tuning and optimization across the full stack.
- We will have you support ColdFusion server deployments and related operational activities.
