Lead Developer - Java and Python

Requirements

Must have:

- 5+ years of professional software development experience - Strong experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (preferably React) - Backend development experience (Node.js or similar) - Experience designing and creating RESTful APIs - Strong database knowledge (PostgreSQL or similar) - Experience with system architecture and scalable application design - Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or similar) - Strong understanding of version control, CI/CD, and deployment workflows - Excellent problem-solving abilities and leadership skills

Responsibilities:

- Lead the design and development of a new internal system/platform, including architecture and technology decisions - Oversee the complete software development lifecycle—from planning and design to deployment and optimization - Construct and maintain scalable applications, APIs, and integrations - Establish and enforce development best practices, code quality, and documentation standards - Collaborate with IT and operations teams to align systems with infrastructure and support needs - Mentor and guide junior developers and technical support staff - Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency across the business - Engage in strategic planning and assist in defining the technical roadmap
