This role sits within Risk Technology, specifically under the IFX (Intelligence Foundations & Experiences) pillar.
IFX acts as a critical connective layer between Capital One and external vendors or business partners.When there is a breakdown or inconsistency between Capital One systems and vendor integrations—whether due to technical failures, data mismatches, or system limitations—it often creates compliance and risk exposure.
These issues frequently surface as production incidents, which must be resolved quickly and correctly to ensure regulatory obligations are met.
The Full Stack Developer in this role is responsible for "running the engine"—meaning they focus on keeping integrations operational, stable, and compliant.
This includes significant hands-on troubleshooting, resolving production issues, investigating root causes, and implementing fixes that prevent recurrence.In addition to production support, the role also involves working with legacy systems that still underpin parts of these integrations.
The developer will help maintain these systems while contributing to efforts to modernize and migrate functionality to newer platforms.Strong experience in Java, Golang, and Python (potentially Typescript, but Python more important) The work emphasizes system reliability, integration correctness, and compliance enablement over product development.
