Requirements
Must have:
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience - Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent professional experience - Proficiency in designing and developing complex online and batch mainframe applications using COBOL, with CICS as the Transaction Processing Monitor and DB2 as the Relational Database Management System - Experience with MQ and DB2 Connect for interfacing with distributed web applications - Strong knowledge of Batch jobs utilizing JCL along with catalog procedures and files (PS/PDS/VSAM) - Ability to perform and manage scheduling activities using CA-Scheduler - Expertise in mainframe application programming Integrated Development Environments (IDZ) - Solid understanding of version control and configuration management tools like Changeman - Proficient in reverse-engineering mainframe applications incorporating DB2 and CICS - Commitment to fostering a culture of integrity and transparency - Keen awareness of the latest developments in the field, actively pursuing ongoing learning opportunities - Dedication to mentoring others in a collaborative team environment - Effective communicator, capable of keeping stakeholders informed - Familiarity with Mutual Funds is a significant advantage, as our Mutual Fund Services aim to provide innovative transactional and information services to enhance efficiency and reduce costs in the mutual funds marketplace.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a technical authority on one or more applications utilized by DTCC - Collaborate with Business System Analysts to guarantee that designs meet functional specifications - Work alongside Infrastructure teams to identify and implement optimal hosting environments - Optimize application performance to eliminate issues proactively - Investigate and assess technical solutions in alignment with DTCCs technology standards - Utilize diverse software development methodologies based on project requirements - Contribute insights into the design of components or individual programs, engaging in construction and functional testing - Provide support to development teams in testing, troubleshooting, and production environments - Create applications and develop unit test cases to ensure adherence to both functional and non-functional needs - Collaborate with peers to enhance our work processes, continuous integration, and continuous delivery - Integrate risk and control processes into daily responsibilities to oversee and mitigate risks, addressing concerns as necessary.
