Lead Python AI/ML Developer

Requirements

Must have:

- Formal training or certification in software engineering principles with 5 years of relevant experience - Practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and maintaining operational stability - Proficiency in one or more general-purpose programming languages, specifically Python or Go - Familiarity with cloud native environments - Experience using AI developer tools including code assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Tabnine), AI-powered IDEs, and platforms for ML/NLP (e.g., Hugging Face) - Strong grasp of Agile methodologies including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security - Expertise in automation and continuous delivery practices - Comprehensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle - Understanding of network engineering and firewall technologies is preferred

Responsibilities:

- Provide guidance, leadership, and mentorship to a team of junior to mid-level engineers working on varied tasks - Develop innovative solutions, execute designs, and troubleshoot technical issues with a creative approach - Collaborate in an Agile environment with team members, including Product Owners - Write secure, high-quality production code, review and debug peers code, and make decisions impacting product design and functionality - Ensure product quality and completeness through unit, component, and end-to-end testing - Act as a subject matter expert in specified areas and promote firmwide frameworks and best practices - Advocate for the integration of cutting-edge technologies among peers and decision-makers
