Requirements
Must have:
- Proven experience as a lead developer within a scrum team - Proficiency in Node.js, Python (3.x), C#, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), and Webpack - Expertise in React, Redux, Redux-Sagas, and Styled-Components - Familiarity with the AWS ecosystem (ECS, RDS, ElastiCache, Route53, Cloudwatch) - Strong experience in MariaDB, MySQL, and Redis - Expertise in designing, implementing, and consuming RESTful APIs - Solid understanding of GIT and version control best practices - Experience with large-scale web applications (bonus points for healthcare and/or insurance EDI experience) - Understanding of Linux Ubuntu or other Linux distributions - Knowledge of network security best practices (e.g., SQL injections, CSS attacks, etc.) - 2+ years of professional experience as a lead software engineer - Demonstrated leadership abilities and a proven track record of driving projects to completion - High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work - Strong problem-solving skills and a driven work ethic - A passion for quality and meticulous attention to detail - Familiarity with industry-standard best practices - Excellent communication skills, particularly with non-technical team members - Ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and rollout of new features - Improve existing functionalities and optimize the platforms performance - Collaborate with RESTful APIs, ensuring their reliability and efficiency - Maintain and enhance our relational database schema - Assist the support team with client requests by analyzing various logs - Work closely with product, customer support, and engineering teams, both in-house and offshore - Facilitate enhancements through our release pipeline - Engage in testing, bug fixing, and uphold the overall quality of the codebase - Participate in sprint planning, task breakdowns, and other agile practices - Conduct code reviews and offer constructive feedback to team members - Hold 1:1 meetings with team members to support their growth and development - Undertake any other tasks necessary to enhance Owls success
