Lead Software Developer

For our client, we are seeking a Lead Software Developer to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will lead the design and development of scalable software solutions across both backend and frontend components, with a strong focus on building reliable, user-centric applications. The position also plays a key role in architectural discussions, database optimization, and cloud deployment while partnering with cross-functional teams to support delivery across the full software development lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with modern full-stack technologies, testing practices, and cloud-native environments, helping drive performance, maintainability, and technical excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $120,000 – $145,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of scalable backend services using Python and FastAPI
• Develop engaging user interfaces with ReactJS for user-centric experiences
• Design and optimize database schemas and queries for PostgreSQL
• Implement unit and integration tests using Pytest and Vitest, applying TDD principles
• Participate in architectural discussions and evaluate design patterns for cloud-native applications
• Deploy and troubleshoot applications in GCP environments, understanding multi-cloud principles
• Contribute to all phases of the SDLC, including requirements gathering and performance optimization

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-stack or backend software development experience
• Expert proficiency in Python, specifically using FastAPI
• Strong experience with ReactJS for frontend development
• Deep expertise in PostgreSQL, including design and optimization
• Experience with testing frameworks like Pytest and Vitest
• Practical experience with cloud platforms, primarily GCP; familiarity with AWS is a plus
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle principles, including agile methodologies
