Lead Software Engineer - Java Developer

Requirements

Must have:

- Bachelors degree in computer science or a related discipline providing a solid foundation in software engineering principles - Over 10 years of experience in software development with proficiency in Java or Python, Spring Boot, NodeJS, REST APIs, real-time streaming architectures, and microservices methodologies - Proven ability to create scalable web applications and establish architectural standards to meet enterprise needs - Experience in leading and mentoring software engineering teams, nurturing professional growth and delivering results through teamwork - Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS preferred), advanced software design patterns, operations, and engineering best practices - Documented success in delivering scalable cloud-native solutions addressing logging, testing, security, and instrumentation utilizing Java, Python, SQL, and AWS services - Added bonus if you have a Masters degree in computer science or a related field, experience with horizontal platforms or enterprise services, and a background in architecting large-scale cloud-native applications.

Responsibilities:

- Formulate and implement the technology strategy and transformative roadmaps that align with business goals - Oversee a variety of technology projects, ensuring excellence in delivery with high standards for code quality and application performance - Manage the complete development lifecycle from design through testing to seamless production deployment within our cloud ecosystem - Enforce enterprise architecture standards to ensure the systems are scalable and secure - Mentor, staff, and cultivate a talented group of software engineers, promoting their career development and success - Collaborate with Technology Domain Owners, Enterprise Architecture, Data Domain Owners, and Business Domain Owners to spearhead strategic initiatives - Provide regular performance updates to senior leadership, including insights on incident management - Stay informed of industry trends and adopt new tools and methodologies to enhance our technology solutions.
