Requirements
Must have:
- We require formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, plus 5 years of applied experience.
- We need hands-on software engineering experience, including prior senior leadership responsibility and a strong background in securities processing or US listed options.
- We expect practical experience across system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- We look for advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java and Python, along with the Spring Framework.
- We require experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- We need familiarity with messaging technologies such as Kafka and MQ.
- We expect practical cloud-native experience, especially with AWS.
- We look for experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes and Docker.
- We require experience using Apache Spark for large-scale data processing.
- We need experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs and microservices.
- We value experience with AI-driven development, including integrating machine learning models and AI-based solutions into enterprise platforms.
- A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- We will provide strategic direction and technical vision for engineering teams supporting US listed options platforms.
- We will contribute directly to the design, development, and deployment of mission-critical applications and systems, leading by example in coding, architecture, and delivery.
- We will drive modernization of legacy platforms and promote cloud-native, event-driven, and AI-enabled solutions.
- We will help integrate AI technologies to strengthen platform capabilities, speed up delivery, and support business goals.
- We will act as a subject matter expert in US listed options clearance, securities processing, and financial services.
- We will partner with business stakeholders, operations teams, and vendors to deliver scalable and innovative solutions.
- We will mentor and grow high-performing engineering teams while fostering technical excellence and accountability.
- We will oversee end-to-end delivery of technology solutions, ensuring alignment with business priorities, schedules, and quality standards.
- We will support live applications through monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolution of production issues to maintain stability and performance.
- We will ensure our platforms comply with regulatory, risk, and control requirements.
- We will manage third-party vendor relationships and align them with strategic objectives and service commitments.
