We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for exploring cutting edge AI and data analytics solutions, developing cloud-native software architectures, and associated development techniques. In this position, the candidate will contribute to the definition of software designs within a common framework to support multiple, and varying, data analytics products developed across the organization. The candidate will be required to integrate complex requirements, develop and deploy major system components, and contribute to the design of best-value architecture designs to meet customer needs. The ideal candidate will excel in the technical acumen/excellence required for this role, in areas such as:
- Software architecture concepts, primarily cloud-based solutions
- Cloud-based service models, such as Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
- Cutting edge cloud-native data analytics tools and solutions, predominantly driven by Open-Source frameworks Position Responsibilities:
- Performs software development using an Agile operating model
- Teams up with product management by representing the software development function and advocating for effective & scalable technical solutions
- Forecasts computational needs and capabilities
- Influences program decision makers to use appropriate computational tools and processes
- Pairs and partners within and across teams to drive best practices and foster an inclusive and innovative work environment Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 3+ years of experience in full stack software development
- 3+ years of experience with application development in one or more programming languages such as C#/C-Sharp, .NET, C, C++, Java, Python, R, SQL, Pro*C/C++, Perl, Shell Scripting, and Web/HTML technologies (JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, web services, REST, microservices etc.)
- 2+ years of experience in working with agile teams and agile software development
- 1+ years of experience supporting and/or working on any cloud related technology or solution
- Experience with Development Operations (DevOps) and/or Development Security Operations (DevSecOps)
- Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), deploying to cloud environments Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work or military experience
- Experience effectively communicates complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience understanding new technologies and coming up with technology insertion plans
- Experience leading high impact projects and mentoring junior developers
