Mid-Level Software Engineer

Peerless is seeking a US citizen who is eligible for a TSSCI clearance to design implement and improve our Kubernetes platform using open source and enterprise solutions You will evaluate the current platform identify areas for improvement and make changes to ensure it remains efficient scalable and secure This is either an in person job in Dayton Ohio or a hybrid position close to dayton so you can come in on a regular basis with no travel costs Key Responsibilities Design protype and implement innovative solutions to enhance our Kubernetes platform capabilitiesUtilize automation Infrastructure as Code and CICD practices to streamline processes and Mitigate Technical DebtProactively ensure the platforms security scalability and reliability by implementing industry best practices and utilizing appropriate toolsEnsure high availability and performance of platform deployments by continually working to improve monitoring alerting and proactive maintenanceIdentify bottlenecks and optimize platform performance to ensure scalability and meet the growing demands of the organizationCollaborate with development teams to gather requirements to drive platform innovation and to continually be looking for ways to improve existing offeringsProvide progress reports and technological guidance to NASIC leadership and product owners as neededRequired Qualifications US Citizen with the ability to obtain a TS ClearanceExperience with Restful web services server side languages golan nodeJS PythonExperience with front end JavaScript frameworks angular react andor VueExperience with Git and JiraBachelors degree in a STEM field3 years of relevant work experiencePreferred Qualifications Experience with Kubernetes HELMExperience with CICD pipelines utilizing Gitlab CI or JenkinsExperience with Docker containerized deploymentExperience utilizing NoSQL databases such as MongoDBTop Secret SCI Security Clearance
