Project Background

Our Client is doing some network monitoring and management tooling in the SDWAN arena. Off the shelf tools to monitor and manage SDWAN infrastructure are lacking at the moment so they are creating some tools in house. They are dealing with multiple vendors in this space, Cisco, SilverPeak, CradlePoint, etc.

Each vendor exposes an API where information can be extracted, manipulated, and ultimately ticketed on. Each vendor has its own flavor of the API, data, formatting, etc. Our Client needs help in moving their mission forward for the rest of 2022.

Ideal candidate would have the following skills:

Python programming
Familiar with network concepts and network event types (alerts, alarms, etc.)
Experience with interacting with API's.
Perl would be a plus.

Position responsibilities / deliverables include:

Participate in requirement analysis with stakeholders / designers for new feature request for SDWAN fault monitoring.
Create solutions using Python to extract network events from vendor API's, both on-prem devices and cloud devices.
Solutions to include fault, performance, licensing and other related application functions.
Support testing / bug fix defects in created solutions.
Create / maintain product documentation around created products
Participate in design reviews and in grooming new Epics and User stories for SDWAN tooling
Propose enhancements that would improve SDWAN tooling
