Requirements

Must have:

- Proven track record in customizing or extending QGroundControl in production or advanced prototype settings.
  • Strong proficiency in Qt / QML / C++ for UI development.
  • Experience developing software for multi-drone or multi-vehicle systems, focusing on mission planning, telemetry, or user control interfaces.
  • Familiarity with development workflows using GitHub, including branching, pull requests, peer reviews, and task-driven execution.
  • Experience with UAV software stacks like PX4, ArduPilot, or MAVLink.
  • Strong engineering judgment and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, part-time setting.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively collaborate with distributed technical teams.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and tailor QGroundControl for multi-UAS applications.
  • Enhance and optimize operator-facing UI/UX for mission planning, telemetry, fleet status, visualization, and control workflows.
  • Facilitate features related to multi-drone tasking and mission execution.
  • Implement and refine interfaces for cameras, gimbals, payload controls, and mission data displays as required.
  • Operate within a modern engineering framework utilizing GitHub, pull requests, code evaluations, issue tracking, and CI/CD methodologies.
  • Contribute to simulation-driven validation and testing processes for QGC-integrated functionalities.
