PLC Programmer

Position Overview

We are seeking Robot Programmers/Technicians to support integration and commissioning efforts for a high-volume automotive manufacturing project in northern Indiana.

This role requires hands-on experience with Fanuc robotics in body shop applications and special means builds. Candidates will play a critical role in programming, touch-ups, commissioning support, and quality collaboration during pre-commissioning and launch phases.

Required Qualifications

2–5 years of experience in:

Robot setup

Troubleshooting

Programming

Hands-on experience with Fanuc robotics

Experience with SpotTool+ and V9.40 for R30iB Plus controller preferred

Fanuc certification-only experience is acceptable

Must be willing to work onsite in Warsaw, IN

Must be open to 6-day workweeks and 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

Develop, modify, and optimize Fanuc robot programs for body shop applications

Perform robot teaching, touch-ups, and recovery in production and pre-commissioning environments

Configure frames, tools, payloads, and TCPs

Support special means builds and rapid program adjustments

Support robot cell startup, offline programming, and commissioning

Troubleshoot robot alarms, motion issues, and ladder logic

Provide floor support during peak programming and launch phases

Collaborate with Quality teams to resolve process issues

Improve weld quality, part accuracy, and repeatability

Support containment and fast-turn engineering changes

Coordinate with Controls teams on I/O validation and interlocks

Follow all safety procedures in active manufacturing environments

Ideal Candidate Profile

Strong troubleshooting mindset

Comfortable in fast-paced commissioning environments

Automotive manufacturing experience preferred

Ability to work extended hours during launch periods

Team-oriented and safety-focused
