Requirements

Must have:

- We require 5+ years of senior-level, multi-disciplined security experience supporting Special Access Programs (SAP), Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and collateral security oversight and management functions in support of the DOE mission.
  • We require a high school diploma and 8 years of related security experience, with the ability to support tasks comprehensively.
  • We need in-depth or expert knowledge of SAP, SCI, and collateral security requirements across program planning and management, physical, personnel, information, communications, and operations security.
  • We value strong policy implementation experience in a multi-disciplined security environment.
  • We require experience applying Executive Order 13526, DOE O 472.2 ADMIN CHG 1, DOE O 471.5, SAP-specific security guidance, and related processes, metrics, and quality assurance practices.
  • We expect the ability to interpret and apply guidance from Executive Orders, Public Laws, Intelligence Community Directives, DOE Orders and Directives, NISPOM, and DoD SAP Security Manuals 5205.07 Volumes 1-4.
  • We require the ability to travel to geographically dispersed government sites within CONUS approximately 10% of the time.
  • We require successful completion of a drug test.
  • We require U.S. citizenship and a current, active TS/SCI clearance with SAP eligibility.
  • We require a periodic review within the last 5 years or enrollment in Continuous Evaluation.
  • Preferred: a bachelors degree in arts or science with 12-15 years of related security experience.
  • Preferred: Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC).

Responsibilities:

- We support the government by developing and applying security measures throughout all phases of the program lifecycle.
  • We may draft security documentation that guides program participants on implementing official security policy.
  • We provide advice and practical support on a wide range of security matters to government and program security officers across multiple locations.
  • We analyze information, apply protection standards, and determine appropriate classification decisions.
  • We conduct ongoing reviews of security procedures and recommend improvements.
  • We manage a SCIF or other classified facility, overseeing daily operations, access control, physical and technical security, accreditation activities, SOP development, construction or renovation coordination, personnel security, training, and incident response.
  • We provide hands-on consultation, analysis, and execution support for multi-disciplined SAP, SCI, and collateral security functions in support of the SAP Security Division mission.

This is an onsite opportunity with travel to other government sites as needed. The role involves supporting highly sensitive security operations in a professional environment where we protect classified information and maintain strict compliance with federal security standards.
