• *About The Role**

We are seeking a Mid-Level Python Developer to join our dynamic team supporting the development and enhancement of Python-based financial software used by Quantitative and Investment teams. This role is instrumental in building scalable analytics, optimizing data workflows, and improving system performance to support portfolio construction and tax-aware Separately Managed Account (SMA) strategies. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams including quantitative analysts, engineering leads, and infrastructure specialists, particularly in deploying solutions on cloud platforms such as Azure. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge financial technology, ensuring high efficiency, reliability, and scalability of our backend systems.

• *Qualifications**

The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in Python development, with hands-on experience in building backend systems for financial applications. Proficiency in data manipulation libraries such as Pandas and NumPy is essential, while familiarity with SciPy is a plus. Candidates should have a solid understanding of object-oriented design principles and design patterns to create reusable and scalable components.

Experience with SQL databases, including Oracle and SQL Server, is required for managing data storage and retrieval processes. Additionally, familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud deployment—preferably on Azure—is necessary. Exposure to finance or investment domains, as well as experience with parallel processing, messaging systems, and event-driven architectures, will be advantageous.

• Develop and enhance Python backend systems to support quantitative models and SMA platforms, ensuring robustness and scalability.
• Create reusable, modular components that facilitate efficient data processing and analytics.
• Optimize data pipelines and analytical workflows to improve system performance and reduce latency.
• Collaborate with quantitative teams to understand model requirements and translate them into reliable software solutions.
• Work closely with engineering leads and infrastructure teams to deploy applications on Azure cloud environments.
• Maintain and improve existing codebases, troubleshoot issues, and implement best practices for software development.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to ensure quality and maintainability of solutions.
