Senior Software Engineer / Technical Consultant (Python, Elasticsearch, Kafka, Azure)
Location: Irving, TX
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer / Technical Consultant to design, develop, and support VizMatch, our enterprise search and intelligent matching platform.
The role focuses on building scalable backend services, high-performance search solutions, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native applications using Python, Elasticsearch, Kafka, Databricks, and Azure.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop scalable backend services and REST APIs using Python.
- Design and optimize Elasticsearch indexes, queries, and search relevance.
- Build intelligent search and matching solutions for large datasets.
- Develop event-driven systems using Kafka and Azure Event Hub.
- Build data ingestion and indexing pipelines with Databricks/PySpark.
- Deploy and support cloud-native applications on Azure.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with architects, product teams, and data engineers.
Required Skills
- 7+ years of software engineering experience.
- Strong Python backend development.
- REST API design and development.
- Production experience with Elasticsearch.
- Kafka/Confluent Cloud experience.
- Microsoft Azure platform experience.
- CI/CD, Docker, Git, Azure DevOps.
- SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL/SQL Server).
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and microservices.
Nice to Have
- FastAPI, Async Python.
- Databricks, PySpark, Delta Lake.
- Kubernetes, Terraform, Pulumi.
- AI/LLM, semantic or vector search.
- Azure OpenAI integration.
- Healthcare or supply chain domain experience.
