Apex Systems is currently hiring for a

• *Senior Python Developer**

with a leading global media and entertainment client. This role supports a high ‑ impact engineering team responsible for building scalable backend services, automation frameworks, and cloud ‑ native applications that power financial forecasting, content analytics, and studio ‑ wide operational tools. The environment is collaborative, fast ‑ moving, and deeply technical, with a strong emphasis on clean architecture, reusable components, and cross ‑ team enablement.

• *Qualified candidates will have the following experience and skills:
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience , with a strong focus on Python as a primary development language
• Hands‑on experience building backend services, APIs, and automation frameworks using Python (FastAPI, Flask, Django, or similar)
• Strong experience with cloud platforms , ideally AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, Step Functions, DynamoDB, RDS) or equivalent cloud-native services
• Experience designing and optimizing distributed systems , microservices, or event ‑ driven architectures
• Strong SQL experience and familiarity with modern data stores (PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, Redis, or similar)
• Experience integrating Python applications with modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, or other cloud warehouses
• Experience building automated workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Terraform, or similar
• Experience with messaging or streaming technologies (Kafka, Kinesis, SQS, Pub/Sub, etc.)
• Strong understanding of testing frameworks, code quality, observability, and performance optimization
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills , with the ability to work across pods, partner with product/analytics teams, and mentor junior developers
