About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Python PySpark Developer to join our dynamic team on a contract basis in Willington, DE. As a key member of our data engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing large-scale data processing pipelines.

Your expertise will help enhance our data infrastructure, enabling efficient data analysis and supporting strategic decision-making processes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse team of data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders, contributing to impactful projects that drive business growth and innovation.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as a Python developer with a strong focus on PySpark is essential.

You should have an in-depth understanding of Spark architecture and the Hadoop ecosystem, along with experience working with big data technologies such as Hive, HDFS, and Kafka, which is considered a plus. Strong SQL skills and familiarity with relational databases are required. Candidates proficient in writing efficient, scalable, and maintainable code will be highly regarded.

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and strong communication and teamwork abilities are critical for success in this role.

Responsibilities Develop, implement, and optimize large-scale data processing pipelines utilizing Python and PySpark to meet project requirements and enhance data workflows.

Collaborate closely with data scientists, data engineers, and other stakeholders to design innovative data solutions that improve processing efficiency and data quality.

Perform comprehensive data analysis, develop algorithms, and process large datasets to extract meaningful insights and support analytical initiatives.

Maintain and improve existing PySpark codebases, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability of data workflows.

Integrate data from various sources such as Hadoop, cloud storage, and streaming platforms, ensuring data consistency and quality across systems.

Write and maintain detailed documentation for data processing workflows, algorithms, and system configurations to facilitate knowledge sharing and future maintenance.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to data workflows, pipeline automation, and system performance, minimizing downtime and ensuring operational stability.

Stay informed about the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to continuously enhance the organization’s data processing capabilities and adopt best practices.
