Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Python Developer with strong React experience to join our development team in Columbus, OH. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of software development experience with strong hands-on expertise in Python for backend development and React.js for front-end development.

The candidate should be comfortable working across the full application stack, developing scalable APIs and services, building responsive user interfaces, and integrating front-end applications with Python-based backend services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable applications using Python and React.js.
• Develop robust backend services and RESTful APIs using Python, FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Build responsive and reusable user interfaces using React.js.
• Develop reusable React components and front-end modules.
• Integrate React applications with backend APIs and third-party services.
• Work with databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or similar relational databases.
• Write clean, maintainable, scalable, and well-documented code.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Develop unit, integration, and end-to-end tests for applications.
• Identify and resolve application performance, scalability, and production issues.
• Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, QA engineers, DevOps engineers, and other development teams.
• Implement secure coding practices and follow established development standards.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and technical discussions.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and application deployments across development, testing, and production environments.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python.
• Strong experience with React.js and modern front-end development.
• Strong understanding of JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Experience with FastAPI, Flask, Django, or similar Python frameworks.
• Strong understanding of React Hooks, components, state management, and API integration.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with Git/GitHub/GitLab and modern version-control practices.
• Experience with unit testing and automated testing frameworks.
• Understanding of microservices and application architecture.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with TypeScript.
• Experience with state-management libraries such as Redux, Context API, or similar.
• Experience with Node.js is a plus.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or other NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Kafka or other messaging/event-streaming platforms.
• Familiarity with cloud-native and microservices architectures.
• Exposure to AI/ML or Generative AI applications is a plus.

Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
